Getting Around

You have 3 options to get from the airport to downtown: light rail, rent a car, and Uber/Lyft.

The light rail is $3, leaves from SeaTac every 10-20 minutes, and takes you to the heart of downtown.

Uber/Lyft from SeaTac to downtown is typically around $70.

If you want to rent a car, we recommend using Turo because it is typically much cheaper than typical car rental companies.

However, please note that July is the busiest time of year in Seattle, so finding parking in congested areas throughout the weekend may be more work than it's worth. You will also need to know how to parallel park :)

There are many walkable areas in Seattle and we highly recommend enjoying the beauty of the city on foot as much as possible!

Note

Airbnb

If you want to book an Airbnb, we recommend these neighborhoods: South Lake Union, Queen Anne, Eastlake, & Magnolia.

July is cruise ship season, so staying downtown will be crowded.

Accommodations

We reserved a room block at a discounted rate! This is where the shuttles will pick up/drop off guests.

Our Story

We met in February 2020 during our first year of law school at the University of Washington—just one month before the world shut down. Seattle went into full lockdown mode, and suddenly, the beginning of our relationship felt like something out of a dystopian movie. Empty streets, eerie silence, grocery store shelves wiped clean—it was an ‘end of the world’ kind of vibe, and we were stuck attending Zoom School of Law, surrounded by stacks of textbooks, trying to make sense of contracts and torts while wondering if there was even going to be a world to practice law in.

But if there was a silver lining, it was that we didn’t have the usual distractions of life—just the two of us, at home, getting to know each other in this surreal, quiet bubble. Lockdown meant that we got to skip the usual dating games—no unanswered texts, no wondering if the other person was out with friends, no guessing games—just the certainty that we were both at home, probably in sweatpants, eating takeout, and avoiding doing our homework.

For months and months, we didn’t have a “normal” first date. No dinners at restaurants or going to the movies like you might expect. Instead, our first dates were simple: sitting on the couch at each other’s homes, talking for hours about everything and nothing. Even though everything else was on hold, we found our own sense of normal, finding comfort and connection in each other during the strangest of times.

We figured if we could make it through law school while the world was falling apart, we could handle whatever came next. And sure enough, since then, we’ve built a relationship that feels perfectly in sync, taking on whatever the world throws at us as a team. We moved in together in 2022, adopted our fur princess Lila in 2023, got engaged in 2024, and will celebrate 5 years together in June 2025.

Now, we’re excited to make it official and celebrate with all of you!

Registry

Having you with us on our special day is the best gift we could ask for! But for those who insist on giving something more, we’ve put together a wish list to make it easy.

Q & A

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by June 8, 2025.

What is the dress code for the welcome party?

Think stylish summer wear - linen, sundresses, dressy shorts, sandals, khakis, etc. are great. No need for anything too fancy, but please no beachwear, gym clothes, or flip flops.

What is the dress code for the rehearsal dinner?

Cocktail attire (see below).

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Dress code is cocktail attire. For men, please wear a suit, button down shirt, tie, and dress shoes. For women, please wear a cocktail dress or elegant separates.

Please no jeans, sundresses, denim, polo shirts, khakis, tennis shoes, flip flops, beachy dresses.

If you're unsure, please always err on the more formal side (or ask us)!

Can I bring a date?

Yes, but please make sure to let us know when you RSVP!

What will the weather be like?

Seattle in July is gorgeous! Expect warm days (75-80°F) with a chance of cooler evenings. Sunset isn’t until 9 PM, so you’ll have plenty of daylight!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

We will be eating, drinking, and dancing in an open-air tent during the reception. Otherwise, everything else is completely outdoors!

Where should I park?

We are providing shuttles to/from the wedding that leave from the Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Union. If you rented a car, there is a parking garage at the hotel; however, the easiest option would be to Uber/Lyft.

If you choose to drive to the venue directly, there is a free parking lot.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Are there other activities happening throughout the weekend?

Yes! Please see the Schedule tab.

Will Lila be attending the wedding?

Of COURSE!!!
